Manually create a new contact in HubSpot
Gmail - Creating or Updating a New Contact
When an email reply is sent in Gmail and Log Emails is turned on, a new contact will be created. However, the contact will not populate information from within the email (except email address).
To see if the contact is currently in HubSpot,
- From within Gmail – click on the orange hubspot icon in the far-right panel while the email is pulled up
- The orange button below the email address in the right panel will say either
- Add to CRM
- Open in CRM
- Click the Add to CRM button to create a new contact
To update the contact,

- Click the blue arrow beside About
- Fill out as many of the properties as you can (Name, Phone, Job Title, etc.)
- Click on View more to see additional properties
