Gmail - Creating or Updating a New Contact

When an email reply is sent in Gmail and Log Emails is turned on, a new contact will be created. However, the contact will not populate information from within the email (except email address).

To see if the contact is currently in HubSpot, 

  1. From within Gmail – click on the orange hubspot icon in the far-right panel while the email is pulled up
  2. The orange button below the email address in the right panel will say either
    1. Add to CRM
    2. Open in CRM
  3. Click the Add to CRM button to create a new contact

To update the contact,

    1. Click the blue arrow beside About
    2. Fill out as many of the properties as you can (Name, Phone, Job Title, etc.)
    3. Click on View more to see additional properties
