Relationship Type for Contacts
Relationship type helps us identify our relationship with the contact, including identifying those who are not a good fit for marketing and sales. See below for color-coding explanation.
Green relationship types are fully automated.
Blue relationship types can be automated by identifying and marking associated companies.
Red relationship types are not automated and must be manually updated by the person inputting information.
Prospect - has downloaded a sample report from the website
Existing Client - has 'Active' subscription
Expired Status Client - subscription is past renewal date and client no longer has access, but is able to still renew at previous rate
Past Client - previous subscription, now 'Unsubscribed'
Client Company - the company is currently an existing client, but the contact is not a current account owner or user.
Custom Speaking - current Deal for speaking event, or previously completed speaking event with Custom Services
Custom Project - current Deal for custom project, or previously completed project with Custom Services
Conference Speaker - previous or current year conference speaker
Conference Attendee - previous or current year conference attendee
Conference Sponsor - previous or current year conference sponsor
Partner - has relationship with FTR, could include, for example, NITL & Intellitrans (marketing), Truckstop.com and Bloomberg (financial), etc.
Data Supplier - provides data to FTR (Wards, Truckstop.com), etc. (Non-marketing)
Vendor - companies and contacts we work with externally (not FTR partners) for marketing, website, conference, events, etc. (Non-marketing)
Competitor - identified as competitor to one of our product lines (Non-marketing)
Journalist - writes articles that includes information from, or about, FTR
Billing - involved in billing for existing or custom clients for payment or processing of subscriptions or custom work. Could be third party or internal to their companies, however, never account owners or users. (Non-marketing)
Support Staff - coordinate with FTR in daily business and preparations for meetings, and are not sales prospects. (Non-marketing)
FTR Job Candidate - identified as future job candidate or previously interviewed for position (Non-marketing)
Invitation to speak - Conference - personal invitations sent by SMEs to participate as a speaker at the FTR Transportation Conference. (Non-marketing)
SME Data Resource - industry contacts SMEs email regarding questions or discussions about the market (Non-marketing)
