Retired - Contacts with No Updated Email

If a contact is retiring but does not provides an updated email address to receive communications, then on the contact page:

1) Create a note: 'First Name' was formerly 'Job Title' with 'Company Name'. They retired on 'Date'.

  • For account owners and users - List if they were the account owner or user, and their subscriptions. List any other pertinent information. 
    Must Do: Associate the Note with the Company and click Save.

2) Company name in the left panel is changed to Retired.

3) Hover over the associated company in the right panel and click the X to remove the association, so the contact is removed from the company page.

4) Click on Actions in the left panel and select Opt out of email. Click Yes, opt them out. 

5) For Account Owners and Users - add contact to list under “list memberships” (on the right sidebar)

  1. List name: Account Owner or User removed – Purge Fields (this action will purge the subscription properties in HubSpot and is necessary to keep subscriber lists clean.

Update Subdna

  1. Delete retired user.
