Here's what to do when updating an email address that doesn't yet exist in HubSpot:
No Merge (NM) Contacts
On rare occassions we receive contacts who we don't want to merge with a duplicate contact.
To ensure that these rare contacts are not merged I propose three steps.
- At the end of the last name type - NM. Representing No Merge. Example: Ligon - NM
- Company name property, please type in: Individual - Separate from Company Name. Example: Individual - Separate from Uber Freight.
- Please pin a note to the contact explaining the reason for the No Merge (NM).
